SMC Leadership Training 2003, Miraculix on the Rocks, 48 participants
Customer: “Create an outdoor programme which reflects and implements Professor Malik’s thesis about leadership principals.”
Eventation: The participants organise their own bivouac tour. The time frame is tight so that the task required optimal management skills. The participants have got one hour to check the weather forecast, buy groceries, pack their backpack and work out their routes. They choose different routes and finally everybody reaches their goal 2.300 metres above sea level. They pitch up their emergency tent, dig their latrine and build a fire place. Communal cooking. They spend the night under the stars at minus 8 degrees centigrade. Up at the crack of dawn, descend to the mountain lodge. Breakfast. 1.200 metres downhill by mountain bike and back to the hotel.
This project was awarded the Austrian Event Award in Bronze in December 2004.
